Sterisol has been working with sustainable skin care for workplaces since the company was founded in 1977. Through smart systems, carefully selected ingredients and resource-efficient packaging, we work to reduce the impact on skin, the environment and resources.

For us, sustainability is about creating solutions that work for people, the environment and businesses over time. That is why we work from three perspectives: social responsibility, environmental consideration and economic sustainability.
This affects how we develop products, choose materials, use resources and collaborate with customers, suppliers and employees.

We actively work to reduce our environmental impact through three key areas: reduced greenhouse gas emissions, increased circularity and responsible water management.
By working with climate targets, material choices, recycling and product development, we aim to reduce our climate footprint, use resources more efficiently and contribute to a more sustainable future.
As part of our climate work, we have committed to the Science Based Targets initiative, SBTi. This means that we work systematically to reduce our emissions in line with science-based climate targets.

Our goal is to develop products and packaging that use as little material as possible and generate minimal waste. That is why we work with smart design, efficient refill bags and material choices that support recycling.
Internally, we have clear routines for sorting and recycling. Product waste generated in production is sent for conversion into biogas, contributing to a more circular approach.
Water is our largest raw material and an important part of our sustainability work. Since our products are used with water and end up in wastewater after use, it is important that we choose ingredients with care. We continuously work to develop products with consideration for the aquatic environment, performance and skin-friendliness. Many of our products are Nordic Swan Ecolabelled, which places requirements on, among other things, ingredients, environmental impact and the product’s life cycle.

Social responsibility is a central part of our sustainability work. Our products should contribute to good hygiene and better health, while we work to ensure a safe and respectful work environment for our employees.
We also place demands on business ethics and responsibility in our relationships with suppliers and partners. In this way, we can work long-term with people, products and relationships.
We work to promote health, maintain high business ethics and create a safe work environment. These areas shape both our internal operations and our external relationships.

Sterisol has received Gold in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating for the third year in a row. This means that we are among the top 5% of companies within our category.
EcoVadis assesses companies’ sustainability work in areas such as environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. For us, the result is proof of long-term work and a motivation to keep improving.
